1What this covers
Summary
This policy covers podhog.io, the waitlist, and our emails.
The summaries in the boxes are for convenience; the full text is what applies. It applies to our website, the waitlist, and emails we send. Podhog is intended for professionals; it is not for children under 18.
2What we collect
Summary
Waitlist: email, firm, firm type, role, how you found us, and which consent text you saw.
| Where | What | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist form | email, firm, firm type, role, ref (how you reached us), consent version, timestamps, and a private unsubscribe token | You |
| Our emails to business addresses | the business email address and its source (for example, a firm’s public page) | Public sources |
| Messages to [email protected] | what you send us | You |
| Bot check on forms | a Cloudflare Turnstile check, run by Cloudflare | Your browser |
We do not collect payment details today.
3Why we use it
Summary
To run the waitlist, tell you about launch, protect against abuse, and answer you.
- Confirm your email address (double opt-in) and keep a record of your consent.
- Tell you when early access opens, if you confirmed.
- Run the waitlist: count sign-ups by firm type, so we know which kinds of firms are interested.
- Protect the form and the service from abuse (bot check, rate limits).
- Answer your messages.
Giving us these details is voluntary; no law requires you to. Without your email we cannot add you to the waitlist.
We do not sell personal data.
4Who handles it
Summary
Three service providers, all acting on our instructions.
| Provider | Does | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare (Pages, D1, Turnstile) | hosting, database, bot check | waitlist data |
| Resend (United States) | sends confirmation and unsubscribe emails | your email address and the message |
| Google Workspace | our mailbox | correspondence |
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
5How long we keep it
Summary
Unconfirmed sign-ups: 7 days. Confirmed: 12 months. Unsubscribe deletes the row.
- Not confirmed within 7 days: deleted.
- Backups: copies of the database are kept for up to 30 days, then gone. A deleted row can remain in a backup for that time.
- Confirmed: kept for 12 months from our last contact, or until you ask us to delete it.
- One-click unsubscribe in any email deletes your waitlist row. We keep only a minimal suppression record (email or its hash, date, reason) so we do not email you again.
- Business contacts we emailed once and who did not reply with consent: deleted after 30 days, apart from the suppression record.
6Cold email to businesses
Summary
We may send one email to a business address asking if you want to hear from us. No follow-ups without your yes.
We may send a single email to a business address asking whether you want to hear from us. It is marked as an advertisement in the subject, says who we are, and has an opt-out. We send nothing further unless you agree. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we honour opt-outs.
7Podcast content and PodhogBot
Summary
We index public podcasts, show short snippets with links back, and stop on request.
Our crawler is called PodhogBot. It reads publicly available podcast feeds and transcripts to build search. We show snippets of at most 40 words, always linked to the source, and we do not resell full transcripts. Podcasters can ask us to stop indexing a show or to remove it: we stop within 24 hours and delete within 72 hours. Write to [email protected].
Transcripts can include names of people who speak on shows. If you are named and want something removed, write to us.
9Where data goes
Summary
Some providers are in the United States.
Our providers process data in the United States and other countries. We choose providers with contractual protections for personal data, and use each provider’s standard data-processing terms.
10Your rights
Summary
See, correct, or delete your data. We reply within 30 days.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, to object to marketing, and to withdraw consent. Write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is you. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
11Changes
Summary
We update the date and, for big changes, email waitlist members.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If a change affects how we use the data you gave us, we will email waitlist members before it applies, and we will not use your data for a new purpose without asking you first.
